WEST JEFFERSON — The Ashe County Chamber of Commerce held its March Member Blast Thursday, March 21 at Saloon Studios in West Jefferson, celebrating the chamber’s growth and accomplishments in recent months. The event featured fun, food, news and a raffle drawing; and brought together dozens of representatives from the chamber’s member organizations.

While dining on food catered by chamber member The Hotel Tavern, representatives from member organizations got the opportunity to network, catch up and explore Saloon Studios’ old western aesthetic.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kitty Honeycutt took to the stage to welcome new members to the chamber, while celebrating the fine work done by all members. Honeycutt also took the time to congratulate Schuster Physical Therapy, who won the 2019 Small Business of the Year award March 19.

Next was a presentation from Ashley Honeycutt, who spoke on behalf of Saloon Studios about what was planned for the next few months at the concert and recording venue. She talked about the Woodstock Experience 2019 coming in August, upcoming concerts and Frontier Day, which is coming in early May.

The final item on the agenda was a door prize drawing. The prize pool featured donated prizes from Whole Lotta Doughnuts, the Florence Thomas Art School, Carolina West Wireless, Current Chiropractic and many other local businesses.

The next Member Blast is scheduled for April 18 at the New River Inn and Cabins in Glendale Springs.
