ASHE COUNTY — The High Country Association of Realtors released its report for May 2019 on Tuesday, June 11.

According to the report, 235 total sales were made in May, an 18.7 percent increase from May 2018.

Of those, 42 were sold in Ashe, making it the second-highest-selling county after Watauga’s 123 sales.

The total price of the 42 homes was $10.2 million, with a median price of $225,000, which makes it the third consecutive month of increased sales. These numbers are near-identical to May 2018, where 41 homes worth $10.6 million were sold.
