RALEIGH — LifeStore president and CEO Bob Washburn was named to the North Carolina Bankers Association Board of Directors during the NCBA’s 123rd annual convention June 23-26, according to a press release.

Washburn is one of six incoming board members, who will be headed by incoming chairman Wendell Begley, president and CEO of Black Mountain Savings Bank in Black Mountain, and vice chairman Charles Frederick, Market President of North Carolina of TD Bank in Asheville, according to NCBA Director of Communications and Professional Development Brianna Reeder.

“Our new chairman, Wendell Begley, and this group of passionate, hard-working and innovative bankers will be strong advocates for North Carolina’s banking industry,” said NCBA President and CEO Peter Gwaltney in the press release.

Serving North Carolina’s banking industry since 1897, the NCBA is a professional trade organization providing advocacy, leadership and support for its dynamic banking membership base, according to the press release.
