ACHS Husky Vanguard seniors awarded scholarships

Charlotte City Partners gives away four scholarships each year to seniors from bands that participate in the annual Novant Thanksgiving Parade in Charlotte. Seniors have to apply and turn in recommendations from their band director, as well as their resume and plans to continue music in some way after high school graduation. Out of 13 seniors in the ACHS Husky Vanguard Marching Band, only three students applied, and all three won a scholarship. Jordan Carlton (center) plans to participate in the marching band program at the university she attends, Tyler Domangue (left) plans to study percussion performance and Miguel Gaspar (right) plans to study music composition.
