RALEIGH – Fiona Newberry, a student at Ashe County High School, was introduced and appointed to serve as a House Page for the North Carolina House of Representatives as a part of the General Assembly’s House Page Program on Monday, July 8.
The four-day program offers high school students the opportunity to learn about and participate in the legislative process, as well as work in the House Chamber in the midst of legislative action.
Newberry attended session and committee meetings each day and was also given the opportunity to provide office assistance to members and staff of the House of Representatives.
