WEST JEFFERSON — The Bethany United Methodist Church Adult Handbell Choir, also known as the Ding-a-Lings, holiday concert has been postponed to Dec. 16. Originally scheduled for Dec. 9, the show features holiday and secular music performed by 16 bells.

According to Ashe County Arts Council executive director Jane Lonon, who helped found the group, the show was pushed back due to the snowy conditions expected to hit Ashe County over the weekend. The show will still be at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Bethany United Methodist Church in West Jefferson. The Bethany Children’s play, “Once Upon a Christmas Light,” has also been moved to Dec. 16 at 5 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the community. Bethany Methodist Church is located on Highway 194 in the Baldwin Community. For more information, call Bethany at (336) 877-2801 or Jane Lonon at (336) 877-5534.
