The Crooked Road Ramblers

The Crooked Road Ramblers will play June 28 in Ashe County.

The Crooked Road Ramblers will be the fourth Backstreet Concert this year at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 28 at Backstreet Park. In the event of rain, the concert will move to the Ashe Arts Council at 303 West School Road, four blocks to the east of the outdoor concert site. This concert is individually sponsored by Christmas in July.

The Crooked Road Ramblers is named after the winding musical path of Southwest Virginia, where most of the band calls home. The band’s leader and fiddler is Kilby Spencer, Wayne Dye plays mandolin, Karen Carr plays bass, Kelley Breiding plays claw hammer banjo, John Perry plays guitar and Donald Hill plays rhythm guitar.
