Raising fun and funds is the idea behind the Feast for the Arts Wine and Dessert Gala on Saturday, June 8 at 8 p.m. at the Ashe Arts Center. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy delicious desserts, bid on exciting silent auction items and support the Ashe County Arts Council. The proceeds go to supporting school and community events sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council. Tickets are $40 per person.

This year, dessert reception attendees will have the opportunity to bid in the Feast for the Arts Silent Auction. There are more than three-dozen items including paintings, house concert, destination packages, outdoor furniture, unique offerings for your home and more. Many of the items were made by local artists and craftsmen which offer one of a kind artwork for your home and garden.

Delicious desserts from some of the best restaurants and caterers in the High Country will entice and excite the gala attendees. Visit with friends and neighbors, view the exhibit, “Through the Camera’s Eye” and enjoy a glass of wine.

As part of Feast of for the Arts, throughout the month of May and June the Ashe County Arts Council has asked hosts to invite family and friends to their homes for a fun and relaxing dining experience. Guests have donated $40 to the Arts Council and will be invited to the gala. The Feast for the Arts is an opportunity to socialize with friends, enjoy delicious desserts and support the Ashe County Arts Council.

The Ashe County Arts Council sponsors concerts, gallery exhibits, festivals, barn quilts, gallery crawls, Junior Appalachian Musicians, Ashe County Bluegrass and Oldtime Fiddlers Convention, school residencies and programming and much more.
