WEST JEFFERSON — Ghosts, ghouls, fairies, princesses and superheroes alike made their way to downtown West Jefferson and Lansing Thursday, Oct. 31, to collect tasty treats on Halloween despite seemingly dreary weather.

From 3 to 5 p.m., participating businesses in West Jefferson opened their doors for trick-or-treaters of all ages, while Trunk or Treat events were held at First Baptist Church, Midway Baptist Church and the Lansing Creeper Trail Park. Here are some photos from the afternoon's festivities.
