The Lucky Strikes Trio

The Lucky Strikes Trio, consisting of Jim Fleri, Wes Saylors and Rusty Blanton, will be the band performing at the second Backstreet Concert for 2019 on Friday, June 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The Lucky Strikes Trio will be the band performing at the second Backstreet Concert for 2019 on Friday, June 7, at 5:30 p.m. Should it rain, the concert will move to the Ashe County Library or West Jefferson Town Hall. This concert is individually sponsored by the Town of West Jefferson.

The Lucky Strikes Trio includes Jim Fleri on keyboard/bass/vocals, Wes Saylors on percussion and vocals and Rusty Blanton on guitar and vocals. They will be performing special arrangements of popular songs from The Lucky Strikes Orchestra’s song list as well as selections unique to the trio. Fun, toe-tapping music ranging from Motown, Beach and Blues to Classic Rock-n-Roll of the 50s to the 70s.

The West Jefferson Community Partnership is an organization made up of businesses, non-profits and individuals interested in promoting the town of West Jefferson. It meets at City Hall at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Friday of every month. People interested in getting involved in the town are invited to attend. Participating organizations include the Ashe County Arts Council, Ashe County Chamber of Commerce, Ashe County Public Library, Keep Ashe Beautiful, Christmas in July, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Florence Thomas Art School, Keep Ashe Beautiful, The Hotel Tavern, West Jefferson Tourism Development Authority, Town of West Jefferson and West Jefferson Business Association.
