12th annual On the Same Page Literary Festival kicks off at Ashe County Public Library

WEST JEFFERSON — Ashe County Public Library’s 12th annual On the Same Page Literary Festival kicked off on Thursday, Aug. 8, with a personal account from a recovering addict and a reading of the festival’s featured book, ‘Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America’ by Beth Macy. The festival continues at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, with a panel discussion featuring local professionals on the topic of opioids in Ashe County.
