WEST JEFFERSON — Shredding skaters swerved the corners of Mount Jefferson State Natural Area, barreling on their boards down the park road in excess of 50 mph during the fifth annual Mount Jefferson Downhill races.

Out of 36 competing downhill skateboarders, Matt King won the tournament-style race, with Ed Garner in second and Cole Trotla in third, rounding out the podium.
