GLENDALE SPRINGS — The Ashe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeffrey Testerman, 46, of Jefferson and Russell Craven, 59, of Laurel Springs, at a traffic stop in the Glendale Springs area Tuesday, March 6.

Sheriff’s office deputies seized 33 grams of crystal methamphetamine, at an estimated street value at approximately $3,960, and $1,080 cash in the traffic stop.

Testerman is charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in custody at the Ashe County Jail and has a $65,500 bond.

Craven is charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for the purposes of keeping and selling controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also in custody at the Ashe County Jail and has a bond of $80,500.

The arrests came one day after the ACSO arrested Randy Edward Jones, 46, of Whitetop, Va., and Gary Fred Burns, 61, of Lansing, at a traffic stop in Lansing for charges related to methamphetamine. Law enforcement seized 78 grams of crystal methamphetamine in that arrest.

The Boone Police Department and the NC SBI assisted with the investigation and apprehension of the suspects.
