The following information was provided by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oct. 19

Christopher S. Church, 49, of West Jefferson, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Church was released on Oct. 19.

Jamie M. Hughes, 31, of West Jefferson, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Hughes was released on Oct. 19.

Troy A. Waln, 28, of West Jefferson, was charged with assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female. Waln was released on Oct. 23 under a $10,000 secured bond and a $20,000 unsecured bond.

Oct. 20

Brandon C. Fink, 28, of West Jefferson, was charged with assault on a female. Fink was released on Oct. 22 under a $1,000 secured bond.

Brian A. Rapien, 31, of Jefferson, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Rapien was released on Oct. 20.

Oct. 21

Jamie D. Caudill, 39, of Hamptonville, was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order. Caudill was released on Oct. 21.

Keith R. Foster, 55, of Lansing, was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order. Foster was released on Oct. 21.

Oct. 22

Christopher M. Church, 32, of West Jefferson, was charged with four counts of misdemeanor larceny. Church is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond and a $1,500 secured bond.

Austin L. Milam, 23, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, fictitious or alternate title/registration card or tag, expired inspection, operating a vehicle with no insurance and driving while license revoked. Milam was released on Oct. 24 under a $750 secured bond and a $1,000 secured bond.

Oct. 24

Coral R. Parker, 25, of Boone, was charged with a child support violation. Parker was released on Oct. 25 under a $401.71 cash bond.

Oct. 25

Kevin D. Burchette, 37, of Warrensville, was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order and a parole hearing. Burchette is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond.
