The following information was provided by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 8

Michael J. Greene, 33, of West Jefferson, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine by possession. Greene was released on Feb. 9 under a $25,000 secured bond.

Feb. 9

Cassandra M. Bennett, 27, of Lansing, was charged with IV-D non-support of a child. Bennett was released on Feb. 9 under a $1,308 cash bond.

Elisabeth N. Hammonds, 34, of Jefferson, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hammonds is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond.

Robert B. Michaux, 35, of West Jefferson, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Michaux is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond.

Amanda L. Prevette, 35, West Jefferson, was charged with probation violation and six counts of being a habitual felon. Prevette was released on Feb. 14 under a $15,000 secured bond and a $10,000 secured bond.

Jennifer K. Walton, 47, of Creston, was charged with obstructing justice. Walton was released on Feb. 9 under a $2,500 unsecured bond.

Feb. 10

John T. Conner, 85, of Kennet, Pa., was charged with second degree trespassing. Conner was released on Feb. 10 under a $500 unsecured bond.

Amy S. Graham, 43, of Lansing, was charged with simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, carrying a concealed gun, carrying a concealed weapon, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Graham was released on Feb. 10 under a $2,500 secured bond and a $3,000 secured bond.

Austin D. Parker, 25, of Warrensville, was charged with assault on a female. Parker was released on Feb. 10 under a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Angel M. Penley, 20, of Fleetwood, was charged with simple assault. Penley was released on Feb. 10 under a $1,000 unsecured bond.

April D. Snow, 31, of Jefferson, was charged with driving while license revoked and no operator’s license. Snow was released on Feb. 10 under a $500 unsecured bond.

Tony G. Woodie, 74, of Jefferson, was charged with driving while impaired and expired registration card/tag. Woodie was released on Feb. 10 under a written promise.

Feb. 11

Enrique R. Alvarez, 25, of Boone, was charged with statutory rape of a child. Alvarez is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond.

Adam N. Campbell, 37, of Crumpler, was charged with parole violation. Campbell is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center without bond.

Feb. 12

Melody J. Derossi, 46, of Jefferson, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Derossi is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond.

Steve D. Neese, 41, of Elk Creek, Va., was charged with probation violation. Neese was released on Feb. 14 under a $25,000 secured bond.

Terry L. Stamper, 54, of Lansing, was charged with simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stamper was released on Feb. 12 under a $500 unsecured bond and a $2,500 unsecured bond.

Chad M. Yates, 48, of Boone, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Yates is being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond.
