JEFFERSON — Ashe County District Court was held Thursday, May 30, at the Ashe County Courthouse, hearing the cases of Jennifer A. Andrews, Christopher A. Cole, William P. Maxwell and Jessica R. Phillips.

Andrews, 30, of Jefferson, is charged with four counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine, four counts of selling methamphetamine, four counts of delivering methamphetamine, four counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of selling or delivering a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of controlled substance on prison or jail premises, possession of a firearm by a felon, possessing/receiving stolen property and manufacturing/assembling/storing weapons. Andrews’ case was continued to July 25.

Cole, 24, of Lansing, is charged with four counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine, four counts of selling methamphetamine, four counts of delivering methamphetamine, four counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of selling or delivering a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, altering/stealing/destroying criminal evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing/receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools and manufacturing/assembling/storing weapons. Cole’s case was continued to July 25.

Maxwell, 48, of West Jefferson, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, three counts of operating a vehicle with no insurance, unsafe tires, fictitious/altered title/registration card or tag, two counts of driving or allowing a motor vehicle with no registration, two counts of driving while license revoked, canceled/revoked/suspended certificate/tag and expired/no inspection. Maxwell was ordered to pay $15,000 in forfeiture.

Phillips, 35, of West Jefferson, is charged with two counts of driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance, two counts of simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Phillips’ case was continued to July 18.
