JEFFERSON — Ashe County District Court was held Thursday, June 6, at the Ashe County Courthouse, hearing the cases of Jonathan A. Boggs, Jeannie A. Cobbler, Joseph D. Eller, Travis J. Hamilton, Corey D. Hollifield, Tammy L. Lee, Timothy G. Lemly, Jacob S. Moretz, Sandra A. Reedy and Kellie E. Wolfe among others.

Boggs, 37, of Warrensville, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, selling methamphetamine, delivering methamphetamine and conspiracy to sell methamphetamine. Boggs’ case was continued to July 11.

Cobbler, 51, of Jefferson, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Cobbler’s case was continued to July 11.

Eller, 36, of Independence, Va., is charged with assault on a female, assault on a child under 12, resisting a public officer, no operators license failure to wear a seatbelt by a driver, expired operator’s license and failure to secure a passenger under 16. Eller’s case was continued to Aug. 1.

Hamilton, 31, of West Jefferson, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounces, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Hamilton’s case was continued to July 18.

Hollifield, 25, of Lansing, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and resisting a public officer. Hollifield’s case was continued to July 11.

Lee, 54, of Sparta, is charged with three counts of selling methamphetamine, three counts of delivering methamphetamine, three counts of possession of methamphetamine and three counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine. Lee’s case was continued to July 11.

Lemly, 33, of Fleetwood, is charged with four counts of selling methamphetamine, four counts of delivering methamphetamine, five counts of possession of methamphetamine, five counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance. Lemly’s case was continued to July 18.

Moretz, 21, of West Jefferson, is charged with two misdemeanor probation violations, two counts of obtaining property under false pretenses, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny and possession of five or more counterfeit instruments. For the possession of five or more counterfeit instruments charge, Moretz was sentenced to six to 17 months in jail, suspended for 12 months while on supervised probation. All other charges were dismissed or consolidated.

Reedy, 48, is charged with two counts of assaulting a government employee or official, malicious conduct by a prisoner and communicating threats. Reedy’s case was continued to July 18.

Wolfe, 22, of Jefferson, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, two counts of simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer. Wolfe’s case was continued to July 18.
