JEFFERSON — Ashe County District Court was held Thursday, June 27, at the Ashe County Courthouse, hearing the cases of Timothy W. Bare, Justin L. Billings, Christina R. Boone, Brian K. Dishman, Amy S. Graham, Michael J. Greene, Heather L. Hammac, Stephanie L. Hensley, Crystal D. Medley and Chad D. Miller.

Bare, 50, of Fleetwood, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Bare’s case was continued to Aug. 1.

Billings, 24, of Crumpler, is charged with misdemeanor child abuse, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia. Billings’s case was continued to Aug. 8.

Boone, 44, of West Jefferson, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, selling methamphetamine, delivering methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for a controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of driving while license revoked, unsafe tires, cancelled/revoked/suspended certificate/tag, expired/no inspection and five counts of obtaining property under false pretenses. Boone’s case was continued to Aug. 1.

Dishman, 32, of Jefferson, is charged with assault on a child under 12 and driving while license revoked. Dishman’s case was continued to Aug. 1.

Graham, 41, of Lansing, is charged with simple assault, fraudulent disposal of a mortgaged property, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. The charges of simple assault and fraudulent disposal of a mortgaged property with both dismissed by the state, all other charges were continued to Aug. 15.

Greene, 31, of Jefferson, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Greene’s case was continued to July 25.

Hammac, 31, of Boone, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, assaulting a government official/employee and carrying a concealed weapon. For the resisting a public officer charge, Hammac was sentenced to 120 days in jail with 12 months supervised probation. For the assaulting a government official/employee charge, Hammac was sentenced to 150 days in jail with 12 months supervised probation. All other charges were dismissed or consolidated.

Hensley, 19, of Creston, is charged with two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, simple possession of a schedule two controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to one-half of an ounce, simple possession of a schedule four controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute a schedule four controlled substance. Hensley’s case was continued to Aug. 15.

Medley, 37, of West Jefferson, is charged with a probation violation, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, two counts of possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco by an inmate. Medley’s case was continued to Aug. 15.

Miller, 36, of Jefferson, is charged with felony larceny, injury to personal property, two counts of felony breaking and/or entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and/or entering and larceny by merchant product code fraud. Miller’s case was continued to July 25.
