Law enforcement trains with active shooter drill

WEST JEFFERSON — Members of the Ashe County Sheriff's Office and the West Jefferson Police Department participated in an active shooter drill at Ashe County High School Saturday, Aug. 3. Using airsoft guns, officers trained to capture a stand-in shooter and  transport victims to Ashe Memorial Hospital as quickly as possible.
