LAUREL SPRINGS — The low-water bridge over South Fork New River on Fulton Reeves Road that was all but washed away by flooding Sunday, June 9 has been repaired and reopened to traffic, according to NCDOT Bridge Maintenance Supervisor Chad W. Cox.

NCDOT replaced the bridge’s steel I-beams and deck, according to Cox.
