In his early years he was an avid NASCAR fan, Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver. His friends still talks about the cars he owned, mostly the Chevelles. They were the sweetest, fastest rides in town on Saturday night.
Ronnie was the perfect country gentleman. He would always help a friend or neighbor any way he could, making friends where ever he went. He was a devoted son and loved his mother dearly. Their special bond lasted until her death in 2014.

Working was his passion, he worked as a lineman in several states and almost for 50 years. He was especially proud of his role in providing telephone service to the Eskimo Villages in Alaska.
Farming and working the land, growing abundant crops was the love of his life. He operated a cow-calf operation, specializing in the Charleais and Braunveih breeds. Fishing was on his mind but work was always his priority.
