Our dad was a great man. He was a farmer who worked sunup to sundown to provide for his family. We were blessed and he shared those blessings with others. Whether it was taking oil to a family who had ran out, buying food for a family in need, plowing a driveway or just giving someone a big smile that brightened their day, he was always helping others. Not for any award or recognition, but because he cared.

It seems some of those he helped have forgotten his kindness.

My prayer is that he did not die in vain but that his death can remind us that every life is precious.
