On behalf of the West Jefferson Lions Club, I want to thank West Jefferson officials for all they have done to help with the projects of the Lions Club.

It is a pleasure to be able to communicate with all persons involved at city hall.

The holes for our flag poles was a monumental task and something members of the club could not have installed with the precision needed for a really good job. We thank you for this.

The flag project enables the West Jefferson Lions Club to continue service to Ashe County residents in need of eye examinations and glasses as well as other projects supported by the club for more than 68 years.

Accept our congratulations on the improvements that have been made in the physical appearance of the town. It presents an entirely new look to the town residents and the many visitors who enjoy the downtown streets. We are proud to call this home!

Again, thank you for what you have done on behalf of the West Jefferson Lions Club, and thank you for the courtesies you extended to our members who worked on this and other projects.

Gwynita Yates Steele, president,

West Jefferson Lions Club
