Ashe County Republican Party

Truck or Treat

Dress in your best Halloween costume from 5 to 8 p.m. and come out to the barn at the Lansing Creeper Trail Park to play games and win prizes. Concessions on site. Costume prizes for 3 age groups.

Nov. 1

GriefShare support group

GriefShare will be hosting a grief support group from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bald Mountain Baptist Church in West Jefferson. GriefShare is a network of more than 15,000 churches worldwide equipped to offer grief support groups. The program is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your grief. Dec. 5

Christmas tree lighting

A celebration of Christmas will happen in Lansing at 5:30 p.m. at the Lansing Creeper Trail Park. Come out and listen to Christmas carols and light the park and the town tree. GLAD will have hot cider, coffee, popcorn, hot chocolate and more.
